It is not just Spring--it's May!  The weather is lovely.  Newly born "red dogs" have joined the bison herd in pastures down the road.  And my plein air painting group has started our weekly schedule.  Yesterday we painted beside a burbling creek with chickadees flitting in the trees.  Our group paints in the foothills May and June and then heads up to the Rocky Mountains as the summer heats up.  It is so refreshing to be painting outside, and to participate in the lively critique after a morning's efforts.
